Christmas is one of the busiest, most exciting event-packed times of year with countless markets, concerts and special events all going on at once. ‘Chicago’ is one of the most popular musicals of all time, and features a whole host of memorable songs and dance routines, from ‘All That Jazz’ to ‘He Had It Coming.’ The Curve Theatre is offering a special Razzle Dazzle package for groups of ten or more, so why not gather up your friends and hire one of our coaches to take you to the theatre?
For something a little more traditional, enjoy some great historical entertainment with this unique show on 22nd December. Listen to festive songs and carols played on authentic medieval instruments and see a re-enactment of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales. Spend the night before Christmas at an evening of choral music, Bible readings and carols in the beautiful surroundings of Leicester Cathedral. Incense will fill the air, and the service takes place around a complete Christmas Crib.
The National Space Centre makes a great day out at any time of year, but there are some fun events especially for Christmas. Children can join Space Santa and his elves in his Martian Grotto to enjoy space games and face-painting, and a brass band will play to entertain the whole family.
Another great attraction is the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium, which this season has a fun ‘We are Aliens’ show, narrated by Rupert Grint.
